Every once in a while you stumble upon something that catches you by complete surprise. Over the past week I managed to find myself staring across the busway in Oakland at a piece of graffiti by Pittsburgh legend Prism that was painted in 1996. Thats 16 years ago!!! Considering how volatile graffiti is in general and how intense the city of Pittsburgh has been in its anti graffiti campaign; 16 years is an extraordinary amount of time for a piece of graffiti to last. Not only 16 years old, but it’s head and shoulders above most of today’s graffiti. Enjoy.
